Musiccer and its sibling Paletter were born on the same evening swim. At the dog beach of Balatonföldvár, on Lake Balaton, I was swimming with Lili — my samoyed — when the idea surfaced: the same wheel that organizes colour could organize music. Colour harmonies live on a wheel; chords live on a circle. One idea, two wheels, two tools.
Two weeks later both were online. Honest accounting: nine of those fourteen days I spent travelling through the beautiful Czech Republic, so the actual building took about five days — the pace a tool can reach when it stays small, focused and free of everything it doesn't need.
Musiccer is free and stays free. No account, no upload — the theory engine, the synth and the MIDI export all run in your browser. A share link carries your whole song inside the URL; nothing is stored anywhere else.
It speaks English and Hungarian (the EN/HU switch in the header), and it talks to Beatter, our Euclidean rhythm toy: a groove built there opens here as the drum pattern under a suggested progression, and any pattern here opens there as rings.
